Aradel Holdings Plc was delighted to support the fourth edition of the University of Ibadan Careers Fair, which held on Monday, 11th November. Mr Adegbite Falade, CEO/MD Aradel Holdings Plc, was the keynote speaker at the event, which was organised as part of the University’s activities highlighting their 75th anniversary. Mr Falade spoke on the topic, Global Career Pathways: Empowering University of Ibadan Alumni for Success.
The Careers Fair demonstrates the importance of collaboration between universities and industries, which promotes innovation and knowledge transfer between students and businesses. The Fair, held at the University of Ibadan International Conference Centre, gave current university students, youth corpers and graduates a platform to meet with industry leaders across different sectors, network and gain valuable insights as they chart the course of their careers. The Careers Fair featured a tour of booths, panel sessions, health talks, award sessions and visitation of the booths of participants.
As an alumnus of the University of Ibadan, Mr Falade, CEO/MD Aradel Holdings Plc drew from his experiences gleaned from his own career journey, while also sharing insights on how the employment landscape had changed since he graduated. He also offered his views on how graduates and young professionals today can position themselves for success by staying connected to the evolving job market and constantly adapting.
In his keynote address, Mr Falade also encouraged the graduates and young professionals to adapt to stay relevant, stating that ‘the modern workplace no longer focuses on how well you do a single job; it’s about how you add value. To stay relevant, you must understand your role in the bigger picture of your organization and align your work with its overall goals. You need to be proactive, continuously adjusting and upgrading your skills to meet the evolving demands of the job market and your employer. The road to global career success isn’t always linear, but by being adaptable, resilient and bold and by deliberately committing to being the best version of yourselves, you can navigate the road ahead with confidence.’
